Friedrich, baron von Logau (1604 - 1655)

Pseudonym Salomon Von Golaw German epigrammatist noted for his direct, unostentatious style. Logau was of noble descent and became an orphan early. He spent his life in service to the petty courts of Brieg and Liegnitz. Logau resented the forced lowliness of his position, and he directed much of his satirical.
